Our private classes are currently designed to reduce unnecessary exposure to people outside your social circle during the pandemic. Each reservation allows for a group of up to 4 close contacts at no extra charge (but you can come by yourself, too!)
Depending on your needs, your class will likely follow the class plan for the Barista Basics class and cover information about the espresso equipment, the beginner's espresso technique, how to steam milk and the first steps for pouring latte art.
You may also choose a private class because you'd like to focus on a specific topic such as latte art or questions about opening a business.
You can focus on how to make many of the common drinks on a coffee menu, including filter coffee, cold brew coffee, espresso, americano, macchiato, cortado, cappuccino and latte.
If latte art is your priority, your instructor may help by steaming your milk so you can focus on learning the pouring of up to 3 basic designs: heart, tulip, and rosetta. Milk steaming can be practiced in longer classes or in follow-up sessions.
If you are opening a coffee shop we are likely able to answer many questions about everything from which equipment is best for you, which coffee roasters you might be interested in talking to, to questions about hiring baristas and what drinks to include on your menu.
Please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org with information about your specific needs or to schedule by request.
Location: 158 27th St, Brooklyn on the 3rd floor. Walk-up only.
